SUMMARY
The Warehouse Associate on 3rd Shift (11pm - 7:30am) coordinates logistics for all inbound freight, as well as finished goods related to outbound loads. Coordinates all material transfers between TM facilities and Cold Storage. Works cross departmentally, affecting efficient material and information flow. Maintains department SOP’s. Helps to ensure timely return process and efficient paperwork flow. Coordinates all carrier and customer freight claims for freight damage and loss, acquiring material compensation and disposition. Follows through with material dispositions and helps to ensure timely claim process and paperwork flow. Provides support for those employees and back-up when needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Work with carriers and suppliers scheduling delivery appointments.
- Track shipments.
- Obtain and provide detailed data for use within TM as well as with outside suppliers, customers and carriers.
- Perform inbound and outbound truck inspections in Redzone.
- Obtain and use open order reports to help in planning for the process flow and proper storage of inbound materials.
- Work with copackers to receive process, maintain and store materials not owned by TM.
- Receive, initiate and process distribution order requests.
- Obtain and/or generate official shipping documents.
- Work cross departmentally at maintaining proper on hand material levels also works on a daily basis with purchasing, planning and inventory control to ensure work orders can be run in a timely manner.
- Utilize internet, intranet and basic software programs, including but not limited to: Word, Microsoft AX, Outlook, Excel, and to track, retain, organize and share important data and information.
- Keep warehouse organized and materials flowing.
- Work with department supervisors focusing on daily operations and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for monitoring empty pallets on hand used for finished goods produced in IMA, Order as needed.
- Weekly/Monthly cycle counts of material in the warehouse: overwraps, folding cartons, eachies, and generic inventory items.
- Coordinates with purchasing on inbounds and gives final approval for date/time of delivery.
- Assist material handlers with staging of outbound materials.
- Load trucks with outbound material destined for 3PL warehouses/ Co-Manufacturers.
Experience/Education:
- Three or more years of related shipping/receiving experience
- High school diploma
- Knowledge/Abilities/ Skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs to waist level
- High school diploma
- Excellent communication & writing skills (Bi-lingual Spanish a plus)
- Must be detailed oriented and accurate with numbers
- Must be a team player and adaptable to a fast changing work environment
- Must be computer literate in software such as Microsoft Office and MRP systems such as Microsoft AX
- Expert in various fork lift operations
- Extensive travel to the corporate office in California may be required in the first few months for training purposes
- This position is based in Rocky Mount, VA and is onsite Monday through Friday supporting a three-shift operation.
- Remote candidates will not be considered for this role.
