Summary
Aligned with the founding purpose at Traditional Medicinals, the Sustainability Impact Analyst is responsible for supporting organizational sustainability through data management, analysis, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and external reporting. This position will manage large data sets related to greenhouse gas inventories, packaging footprints and responsible sourcing initiatives, including managing certifications associated with ingredients and products at Traditional Medicinals.
This position reports to the Environmental Sustainability Manager within the Traditional Medicinals Impact and Engagement department.

What You Will Do
  • Lead sustainability data collection, management, and analysis across packaging, herbs, sourcing, and organizational impact metrics.
  • Streamline environmental and social data workflows by collaborating with Procurement, Operations, Impact & Engagement, and external partners.
  • Manage data collection for annual sustainability reporting, including B Impact Assessment, Benefit Corporation reporting, California Green Business, Green America, and investor‑facing updates.
  • Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) using Trayak’s COMPASS software and prepare clear reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Support development and execution of TM’s Climate Action Plan, including scopes 1-3 GHG inventory and decarbonization initiatives.
  • Support internal sustainability initiatives such as Zero Waste certification, waste tracking, sustainability education, and employee engagement.
  • Conduct research on sustainability frameworks, circular economy principles, EPR regulations, regenerative agriculture, and emerging best practices.
  • Contribute to policy development, due diligence processes, and continuous improvement of sustainability tools and systems.
  • Contribute to project implementation and evaluation for source community investments.
  • Prepare presentations, charts, and written materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Environmental Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sustainability, impact reporting, or corporate responsibility; food & beverage experience preferred.
  • Experience with GHG accounting, decarbonization, climate adaptation, and LCA tools (e.g., COMPASS)
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks: SASB, GRI, CDP, TCFD, SBTi.
  • Knowledge of EPR regulations and circular economy principles.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and data visualization experience (e.g., Tableau).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and basic design.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage complex datasets and multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and external partners.
  • Self‑starter with initiative, curiosity, and problem‑solving ability.
  • Demonstrated passion for Traditional Medicinals’ mission and values; high integrity and cultural sensitivity.
Travel Requirements 
  • Possible 1 – 2 trips annually (domestic or international)

Compensation range is $86,500 - $99,100
Compensation is determined based on non-discriminatory, business-related factors, including but not limited to, training, experience, education and/or professional certifications, geographic location, and market data.
