SUMMARY: The Co-Manufacturing Manager plays a critical role in stabilizing and optimizing production across high-risk and existing co-manufacturing partners, ensuring consistent output and maximizing capacity across multiple facilities. This role directly supports business continuity and growth by maintaining and improving current production performance while mitigating risk through the identification, exploration, and qualification of new co-manufacturers, including tech transfers for emerging formats such as lozenges and gummies. Acting as a key liaison across Procurement, Planning, Supplier Quality, and R&D, the position ensures alignment between external manufacturing capabilities and internal demand, quality, and innovation goals. Additionally, this role provides strategic and operational support to the Director by enhancing bandwidth, managing supplier performance, supporting contract and cost negotiations, and leading KPI data collection, performance tracking, and reporting to drive informed decision-making and operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Partnership Management: Manage relationships with co-manufacturers to ensure performance, compliance, and quality standards are met.
  • Production Scheduling & Planning: Implement and track build schedules, ensuring production meets volume demands and inventory goals.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all external production adheres to company quality standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Contract & Cost Negotiation: Assist in negotiating contracts, pricing, capacity and manufacturing timelines with external partners.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between the co-manufacturer and internal teams such as Procurement, Planning, Supplier Quality and R&D.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to measure supplier efficiency, production quality, and cost.



REQUIREMENTS:

Leadership & Communication: Strong skills to lead and influence external teams and convey clear expectations.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve supply chain disruptions and technical production issues quickly.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing production data, inventory levels, and costs.  Financial acumen with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • High-Growth Environment Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced company with evolving priorities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years prior experience in manufacturing, procurement, or vendor management.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations

Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel, both domestic and international.

Office Hours/Location:
  • This position is based in Rohnert Park, CA Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 – 5:00 pm. This is a hybrid role offering the flexibility to occasionally work remotely. Expected in-offices days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Subject to change.
  • Remote candidates will not be considered for this role.

Compensation range is : $ 98,400.00 - $129,150.00

Compensation is determined based on non-discriminatory, business-related factors, including but not limited to, training, experience, education and/or professional certifications, geographic location, and market data.
