Summary
As the Operations Supervisor, you will have a dual role in overseeing both automation equipment and a production shift in our manufacturing facility. You'll lead a team of Automation Engineering Technicians and Automated Systems Technicians while ensuring the smooth operation of your designated production shift.

You'll lead a team of Automation Engineering Technicians and Automated Systems Technicians while ensuring the smooth operation of your designated production shift.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide a team of Automation Engineering Technicians and Automated Systems Technicians.
- Ensure the efficient operation of automation equipment, minimizing downtime, and maximizing production output.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement necessary changes.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to automation equipment and implement solutions promptly.
- Maintain records of equipment performance, quality standards, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices for operating automation equipment.
- Manage material replenishment to support continuous production and minimize interruptions.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards for automation operations.
- Oversee the daily operations of your designated production shift.
- Manage and schedule shift workers, ensuring optimal staffing levels.
- Monitor production processes and quality to meet or exceed production targets and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and address production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Conduct shift meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and safety protocols to your team.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide training and support to shift employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in automation, manufacturing, and shift supervision, with at least 3 years in leadership roles.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills related to automation systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
- Extensive travel to the corporate office in California will be required in the first few months for training purposes

- This position is based in Rocky Mount, VA and is onsite Monday through Friday supporting a three-shift operation.
