Financial Inventory Analyst

Accounting and Finance - Rohnert Park, CA - Full Time

SUMMARY  
The Financial Inventory Analyst is instrumental in the business to support departments with various aspects of inventory. This position will maintain and enhance the accurate reporting of inventory, such as the accuracy of receiving transactions, storage of inventory, and usage reporting with a high focus on raw material inventories. This position will take a global position on all inventory accuracy to include the 3PL’s, Co-Man locations and all manufacturing facilities. This position will work closely with several departments such as Warehouse and Manufacturing to support the accurate storage and reporting of operations including research and error resolution; IT to ensure proper set-ups, transactions and reporting is available; Accounting to support annual audit needs and any financial inventory accounting needs; and Supply Chain to support accuracy of inventory transactions, reserves and reporting.   
 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
  • Maintains data integrity of inventory, including but not limited to monitoring and collaborating with owners of expired, stranded and erroneous balances to ensure proper and timely handling.  
  • Support accurate reporting of operations work orders by assisting Production when inventory discrepancies are preventing timely completion of production orders.  
  • Assist/Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies, identifying trends, and making recommendations to improve inventory management processes. 
  • Manage non-standard inventory movements to support marketing sampling programs. 
  • Monitor and/or process transactions in ERP system, including but not limited to, rounding discrepancy journals, receipts, disposals, movements, etc. 
  • Facilitate, support and manage excess, obsolete and aging inventory reporting. Including but not limited to E&O (Excess and Obsolescence) reporting, MDF’s (Material Disposition Form), SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and any other controls for accurate reporting, and assisting in research and removal of inventories. 
  • Facilitate, support, improve and report on all Cycle Count processes, including generics, mixed bins, IMA parts, virtual RMA warehouse, etc.  
  • Provide Year-End close, Month-End Close and Annual Audit support, including but not limited to physical inventory tracking, Inventory Roll forward reporting, confirm generics are counted and accurate, ensure timely closing of inventory journals and work orders.  
  
REQUIREMENTS 
 Experience/Education:  
  • B.S. in Business or Supply Chain degree preferred. 
  • Four years of Manufacturing Inventory Control experience in a comparable environment. 
  • Experience in Accounting in a manufacturing environment is highly regarded. 
  • Cost Accounting experience highly regarded. 
  • Experience with continuous process improvement projects. 
 Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. 
  • High organizational skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Reliable and self-driven and able to work independently without regular direct supervision.

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve problems in a timely manner. 
  • Organize effectively, prioritize work, manage time and meet deadlines. 
  • Bilingual in Spanish highly regarded

Technical Skills: 
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of raw data utilizing technology tools (i.e. Microsoft Excel)  
  • Proficient in using, interpreting and summarizing data from ERP systems. 
  • Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Excel 
 Travel Requirements
  • Approximately 20% 
  • Onsite locations may include both SOMO (in Rohnert Park), Sebastopol plant, and Santa Rosa warehouse. 
  • Future travel will include periodic trips to Virginia plant site.  
 Office Hours/Location: 
This position is based in Rohnert Park, CA. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 – 5:00 pm. This is a hybrid role offering the flexibility to occasionally work remotely. Expected in-offices days are Wednesday, Tuesday and Thursday. Subject to change. 
Remote candidates will not be considered for this role.  
 
Physical/Mental Requirements:  
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business documents 
  • Ability to communicate via speech, writing and hearing with employees, regulatory agencies or members of the business community 
  • This is primarily a desk job with constant sitting and keyboarding. Must be able to sit and type in an ergonomically correct position 
  • Ability to travel to different work locations and meeting sites 
  • Must be able to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms 
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

Compensation range is $79,000 - $94,500. 
Compensation is determined based on non-discriminatory, business-related factors, including but not limited to, training, experience, education and/or professional certifications, geographic location, and market data.
